About

during the last 7 years, I have helped folks of all ages navigate various mental illnesses or emotional distresses at inpatient and outpatient levels of care. During this time I provided individual, family, and group therapy within a brain injury rehabilitation center.

I have a bachelor's degree in education and a master's in counseling. I am a licensed professional counselor, and am currently working toward certification in clinical hypnosis and equine assisted psychotherapy.

I believe that people often operate from the basis of their story: what has happened in their lives and what they know and how they feel. I will help you understand your collection of experiences of thoughts and feelings in order to assist you in reaching goals, and essentially, to get where you want to go. I will do my best to understand you, and I am willing to laugh or cry with you.

I work through a relational model with a person-centered approach and will be willing to hold the space with you, and talk through difficult thoughts and feelings, help you challenge your thinking when necessary with respect and positive regard. I provide education about mental health, and other human issues that may help you evolve your process and get “un-stuck”.
